Project “Future Compass”

Intention of the project

The education administration introduced procedures for transition management and individual promotion of the children and young people in Nuremberg. These improves the chances of education. Apart from the individual advice it is necessary to point out all offers for individual qualification. The project “Future Compass” intends to collect and represent all possible education and qualification offers in the region. With this project, H 46 - the Future Agency for Schools supplies the Portfolio-work as well as the advising centres.

Strategy and realisation

The realisation of the project is in progress. These are the key aspects at present:

1. Data base and publication:
Educational offers in the brief overview – methodical and classified. On a homepage all data are seized, structured and published up-to-date.
2. Promotion of communication and co-operation:
The Future Passport network. In a network including participants of all different social ranges, all relevant offers will be collected.
3. The result: Education pays off!
The offer is supplemented by an incentive system, which rewards directly active and successful participants. The most successful participants will additionally honoured for the achievements yearly.

How will it continue?

On the one hand, H 46 develops quality criteria for the offers and a structure of the new "Future Compass homepage". On the other hand, H 46 also searches for financing possibilities.
