Pauk & Ride - the young mobility net of the VGN

„Mobility, information and education“ - especially for young people. Since 2004 there has been already an extensive Internet offer of the “Public Transportation Services greater Nuremberg” (VGN) covering these topics at www.schule.vgn.de. The successful co-operation of the project partners was extended for further three years starting from 2007.

Joint Project

Project partner of the VGN is “H 46 - the Future Agency for Schools” of the School administration of Nuremberg. This educational facility is responsible for the concept and the content of the components of „PAUK & RIDE“. Already at the end of the first project year, „PAUK & RIDE was awarded in a national competition as an official project in the context of the UN-World decade “Education for Sustainable Development“.

The achievement

Beside information about tickets and timetable offers, there is a plenty of hints e. g. teaching advisories and class excursions to sights in the VGN area. Directly applicable teaching materials for lessons about mobility and other environmental subjects, are available as downloads.
