The „Hummelsteiner Park” is situated in the southern part of Nuremberg and is a rather small but very contemplative site. The park offers old trees and gardens (baroque garden and Staudengarten), which need special care. Visitors appreciate the contemplative impression and the recreation value of this idyllic park in the middle of Nuremberg.
Hummelstein was founded five hundred years ago to protect five pools and a bird facility. Three hundred years later the park was not only a popular destination for the citizens, but also place for lemons and bitter oranges. Built in 15th Century, the Hummelstein castle was used for other things as weir system, weapon camp and cartridge factory. In the process of the following centuries it was burned down and rebuilt and the structure often changed until 1720. In 1925 the City of Nuremberg bought the custle. The main building mainly consists of flats at the back building our office space is accommodated.
